South Boston Clubhouse

Exterior & interior renovation to improve safety and expand program offerings.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston engaged Colliers Project Leaders to provide owner’s project management (OPM) services in connection with the complete renovation of and addition to two buildings located at 240 West 6th Street in South Boston. The renovation modernized a South Boston institution in order to have a greater impact on the young people in the community and preserve the building for generations to come.

The South Boston Clubhouse provides members, ages 6-18, after-school programming that builds educational and character development.

Planned changes to the exterior and interior improved safety and recouped space for expanded program offerings including dedicated spaces for a music clubhouse and the performing arts. The interior reconfiguration and renovation also facilitated innovative programming and created special environments appropriate for various levels of age, maturity and independence.
