The University of Toronto’s School of Cities and Centre for the Sustainable Built Environment (CSBE) held its second annual Embodied Greenhouse Gas Symposium on May 7. The event brings together industry professionals, academics and policymakers to discuss practical solutions for reducing embodied carbon emissions in construction while meeting Canada’s growing infrastructure and housing needs.
As a proud industry partner of CSBE, we were pleased to contribute to the event’s poster session. Our submission highlighted real-world examples of how we help clients reduce carbon emissions and achieve their sustainability goals as an owner’s advisor. We shared the impacts of integrating low-carbon strategies into early project planning and design, including approaches such as prioritizing building reuse over demolition.
We remain committed to driving sustainable outcomes through proactive leadership, collaboration and a deep understanding of low-carbon best practices. Through partnerships like this, we continue to support the advancement of climate-conscious infrastructure across Canada.
