The Town of Grimsby celebrated the opening of the Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre with more than 300 residents and community members on January 24. The $36.7 million, 130,000 sq. ft. project began in 2019 as part of the town’s parks and recreation master plan.
As part of the project, the town upgraded the existing arena on Livingston Avenue with fresh paint, new flooring and shower upgrades. The scope of work also included a large extension, featuring a double gymnasium, fitness centre, indoor walking track, youth centre and multipurpose rooms. The upgraded facility now serves more than two dozen community groups, including the Grimsby Basketball Association, Grimsby Volleyball Association, Grimsby Pickleball Association and the Grimsby 55 Plus Active Living Club.

We have worked with the town since 2022, providing Project Management and Furniture, Equipment Planning and Move Readiness services through the planning, design, construction and closeout phases. Our team celebrated alongside the community and are proud to support this new era of recreation, sport and connection in Grimsby.
