Construction is underway in Barrie, Ontario, on the redevelopment of the Grove Park Home for Senior Citizens and the Village of Innis Landing Coleman Care Centre. These projects will increase capacity and update existing long-term care (LTC) facilities to enhance residents’ well-being, comfort and access to high-quality care.
Together, the two LTC projects will add more than 80 new beds and upgrade 62 existing beds to increase LTC capacity in the region. Our Colliers Project Leaders team is proud to support the redevelopment of the Grove Park Home throughout construction, providing expert project management services. The redevelopment of the Grove Park Home will modernize resident rooms, dining areas and wellness spaces, contributing to the home’s warm and inviting atmosphere.
The Village of Innis Landing LTC project will include upgrades to nursing call systems, fire detection and suppression systems, and new monitoring technology to ensure resident safety. The project will also include a café, a community hub space and mechanical lifts in resident rooms.
Both LTC redevelopment projects are part of a broader provincial goal to expand long-term care capacity by providing 58,000 new and upgraded beds across Ontario by 2028.
