Congratulations to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) on the official opening of its new 1,000+ parking garage. This milestone project, which includes 94 accessible parking spaces and 21 electric vehicle charging stations, delivers critical infrastructure to support families, visitors and the CHEO team.
Our team provided project management services to support the successful delivery of the parking garage, including managing change orders, risk reporting and tracking the project schedule through to its Spring 2025 completion.
Delivered on time and within budget, this important healthcare infrastructure project was a collaborative effort. We proudly served as project management representatives, working alongside BTY Consultants in a joint venture to oversee the design phase. EllisDon led the construction and B+H Architects served as the Planning, Design and Compliance team. The garage marks the successful completion of Phase 1A of CHEO’s 10-year redevelopment plan and lays the foundation for what’s next.
Construction has begun on the next transformative phase: the Integrated Treatment Centre. This facility will unify care services to improve access and outcomes for patients and their families. The new 200,000 sq. ft. facility will include onsite rehabilitation services, as well as rehabilitation services at schools and services for children and youth with neurodevelopmental disorders. CHEO anticipates completing The Integrated Treatment Centre Phase 1B in 2028.
