Hamilton Health Sciences’ Juravinski Hospital is in the midst of a multi-million-dollar redevelopment to address the healthcare needs of the region’s growing population. The project includes a new patient tower, which will expand inpatient services through the addition of 170 new beds, one new operating room and expanded spaces for ambulatory care and support programs.

The hospital network engaged our Furniture and Equipment Planning team to assist with specialized equipment planning for the new tower. Recently, the team visited the hospital’s Medical Devices Reprocessing Department (MDRD) to assess capacity requirements and potential challenges. This proactive approach ensures that the expanded hospital will be properly outfitted to meet increased patient numbers and that staff will be well equipped to provide high quality care the day they welcome patients into the new space.
