Congratulations to the City of Meadow Lake on the opening of its $52-million Co-op Centre. Residents, staff, local leaders and government officials gathered to celebrate the event, which included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the sealing of a community time capsule that future residents will open in 2075.
“This is one of the proudest days I’ve had in public life. It really is because this is going to make an immense difference for the generations that come after us,” said Meadow Lake MLA Jeremy Harrison.
The new facility features council chambers, an NHL-sized arena, a multipurpose events centre and a fieldhouse with basketball courts, pickleball courts and a running track. Designed as a central hub for the region, the Co-op Centre will host various recreational and community events, from hockey games and graduation ceremonies to concerts, trade shows and conventions. These activities have the potential to drive significant economic growth for the City of Meadow Lake and the surrounding areas.
Our team provided project management services from design through construction, helping to deliver the Meadow Lake Co-op Centre while meeting and exceeding the community’s expectations. We are proud to have supported this important community project.
