Place des Arts is a multipurpose Francophone cultural center located in downtown Sudbury. The facility will allow community members to gather and celebrate Canada’s rich art and cultural traditions. The first-of-its-kind in northern Ontario, Place des Arts brings together seven francophone organizations focused on arts and culture. Once opened, the facility will host 850 activities annually and create more than 200 jobs.
The region’s physical character, along with its long francophone history, were the inspiration behind the new multidisciplinary arts centre.
