We are pleased to share that Place des Arts won the Architecture Press Release Urban Design & Architecture Award in the Cultural Architecture (Built) category at the 2023 Global Future Design (GFD) Awards.
Developed by the Regroupement des organismes culturels de Sudbury – a coalition of seven francophone cultural organizations – Place des Arts is a multidisciplinary hub that celebrates 50 years of Franco-Ontarian culture. From its architecture to its cuisine and programming, the 40,000 sq. ft. facility is an immersive experience that brings new life to downtown Sudbury.
Established in 2016, the GFD Awards is one of the world’s most prestigious awards for architecture, interior, and product design. The awards recognize outstanding ideas that redefine architectural design through the implementation of novel technologies, materials, programs, aesthetics, and spatial organizations.
