The redevelopment of Grey County’s Rockwood Terrace Long-Term Care (LTC) Home has reached a major milestone, hitting the construction halfway point with completion targeted for spring 2027.

Construction of the new, purpose-built facility began in 2024 and will replace an existing LTC home in Durham, Ontario. Designed to address the growing demand for long-term care in southern Grey County, the expansion will increase capacity to 128 beds and modernize the living environment for residents. Once complete, the home will provide 24/7 nursing care, access to physicians, assistance with daily living activities and essential support services including meals, housekeeping and bathing.

“This milestone is significant. Not just because of the scale of this project, but because of what it means for the future of publicly run long-term care in southern Grey County,” said Grey County Warden Andrea Matrosovs. “Reaching the halfway point brings us closer to opening a modern, resident-focused home that will serve our communities for decades. This investment demonstrates Grey County’s strong commitment to long-term care services that support dignity, comfort and quality of life.”

We are proud to provide project management services for this LTC development,  working in collaboration with Grey County, Melloul Blamey Construction and Kasian Architecture to deliver the project successfully.
