The Offload Medicine Transition Unit (OMTU) in Ottawa was designed to maximize safety and make the patient experience a priority. With forty hospital beds, a “cathedral” ceiling and modern medical technology, the OMTU came together in just nine weeks because of the partnership between the hospital and the community.
The new space will help alleviate capacity challenges at the Civic Campus and improve the quality of care available to patients in the Ottawa-Carleton region.
