We are excited to share that the Université de l’Ontario français (UOF) received a Gold Certification for Interior Design at the Int. Design Grands Prix Du Design Awards. With the environmental impact in mind, this design by Gow Hastings Architects is respectful of materials, resources and building maintenance, featuring exposed concrete ceilings and walls to reduce the amount of new materials produced.
UOF is Ontario’s first French-language university governed for and by Franco-Ontarians. The 50,000 sq. ft. campus occupies the entire second floor of a mixed-use building and was designed to retain existing industrial elements while introducing a new vision for academic design focused on student-faculty interaction.
The Grands Prix Du Design Awards celebrates the work of designers and architects who improve our quality of life and the built environment.
