E-Commerce is booming!
Canada’s e-commerce market is booming. With that, there is increased demand for shipping and receiving packages within Canada and beyond.
The Canada Post Greater Toronto Area East processing plant is a vision of the future. The new state-of-the-art processing plant will expand processing capacity and accommodate the increased demand on package and parcel sorting due to the uptake in e-commerce transactions.
Our team is overseeing the design, tender, and construction of the new 550,000 sq. ft. facility. This includes:
- Minimum 70,000 sq. ft. of office space for 24/7 operation
- 155 high docks to fit 60 ft. trailers, equipped with dock leveller hydraulics, roll-off protection, dock lock, and master control panels
- 750 employee parking stalls at grade and 225 trailer off-wall parking stalls
- Yard circulation to include access to all docks within the property and dock-to-dock access.
Our team manages the development of functional program requirements and generic performance specifications in addition to the Owner Statement of Requirements specifications for the building and site.
