Redesigned for collaboration and culture

To provide inviting, flexible and engaging spaces for its employees, Colliers Canada relocated its Montreal team to the office segment of Place Ville Marie (PVM).

Located in the heart of the city, the new office provides professionals with a 180-degree panoramic view, a café-style reception area with metal backlit panels that represent Montreal’s skyline, and meeting rooms named after well-known neighborhoods and landmarks. Local artwork and greenery bring warmth and vibrancy to the space. An exposed-ceiling concept adds an industrial edge, while enhancing openness and connection. Workstations line the windows to maximize access to natural light, while enclosed offices are located at the centre of the office to preserve daylight access across the floor.

Pairing white finishes with subtle industrial detailing, the overall design visually lifts the space, giving it a bright, open feel. Notably, the office also includes Coreflex panels that employees can open to connect the boardroom to the kitchen and lounge, easily transforming the space for town or other events.

“Our vision for the new Montreal office was to create a bright, modern and functional space that reflects Colliers’ flexible and collaborative culture” shared Danielle Achcar, Project Manager with Colliers Project Leaders.

Empowering teams through thoughtful, purpose-driven design

Our Colliers Project Leaders team in Montreal provided advisory and project management services to our Colliers colleagues, from initial planning to completion. Our advisory team first supported Colliers with early feasibility assessments before bringing in our project managers to coordinate the fit up, move logistics and ensure the new office space aligned with national workplace standards. From material selection to furniture, fixtures and equipment coordination, we helped translate a corporate vision into a functional and inspiring workplace.

Establishing a clear governance structure and decision-making processes early on helped keep the office project advancing smoothly. And by facilitating open communication and proactively adjusting timelines, we kept the project on schedule and reduced the cost by an impressive $1 million.

The new Montreal office – shared by both Colliers and Colliers Project Leaders teams – blends functionality with flexibility and reflects a forward-thinking approach to workplace design.

As Gregory Dyson, Associate Vice President with Colliers’ Brokerage team in Montreal, explained, the goal was to deliver a best-in-class environment that offered abundant natural lighting, accessibility and amenities to support work and well-being.

Employees’ response has been overwhelmingly positive, with the new space energizing teams and encouraging greater in-person connections. As Dyson put it, “Our new space is enabling us to accelerate our business into the future.”

“This flagship location helps to strengthen our presence in the local market, attract top talent and demonstrates our commitment to employee success and well-being” adds Danielle.
