A new manufacturing facility that will meet future growth demands.

The new 60,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and adjoining 7,000 sq. ft. sits on a 21-acre greenfield site in Nisku, Alberta. The new plant consolidated the operations from two smaller leased facilities in Edmonton. The facility is positioned on the north side of the site, allowing space to meet future growth demands.

The initial phase of the project incorporated two 10-ton and one 20-ton overhead bridge cranes into the overall plant structure. The three cranes created access to every corner of the facility for an uninterrupted operational process. The exterior yard is serviced by one 10-ton and one 20-ton overhead bridge crane to provide access to plant feed stock and finished products.

Our team supported Russel Metals and the design-builder to incorporate the requirements of heavy industrial process operations that include plasma and laser cutting table operations, up to 1,000-ton brakes, 3/8” shears, and the air cleaning and handling system that work with the process.
