The Town of Battleford is progressing with its plans to enhance the Battleford Arena, and recently selected our Colliers Project Leaders’ Saskatchewan team to provide project management services and support throughout construction.
“Colliers [Project Leaders] has a reputation of making sure that the projects are done on time, on cost and sometimes under budget,” said Mayor Ames Leslie. “In today’s ask to stretch every taxpayer’s dollars, this is an investment that could net some positive returns in this project, to make sure that the project is done in the most efficient and cost-wise possible.”
Our local project management team are working in collaboration with the Town of Battleford and Associated Engineering to deliver the improved arena for the community, including its minor hockey and figure skating groups. Design plans include the addition of a new entrance vestibule and canopy, an expanded lobby, improved sightlines on the south side of the arena and a new accessible washroom. The enhanced facility will also incorporate four new dressing rooms, additional storage and janitorial space, a referee room with showers, and a centralized lighting control panel.
The town expects to complete the upgrades in two years, while avoiding major disruptions to hockey, figure skating and other programs beginning in the fall.
