The City of Weyburn, Saskatchewan recently selected our team to provide project management services for the planning and delivery of its new aquatic centre, valued at an estimated $30 million.
City council voted to confirm the selection following an RFP process that drew eight competitive bids. Our Colliers Project Leaders team scored highest in the evaluation, which weighted considerations including capability, personnel and pricing. Our experience delivering similar high-profile projects – such as the $300 million Regina Indoor Aquatic Facility and the $50 million Yellowknife Aquatic Centre – was another factor.
The city also appreciates that our team is able to start project work immediately, with staff currently located in Saskatchewan.
“Council’s been saying for quite a while, we want to get the right answer, not the quick answer,” said City of Weyburn Mayor Jeff Richards. “We want to make sure that we get this project done right in a timely fashion, on time and on budget.”
In addition to supporting the development of the new aquatic facility, our team will help the city evaluate next steps for the existing Weyburn Leisure Centre.
We look forward to helping the City of Weyburn deliver a modern, accessible aquatic facility that will support the community’s wellness and recreation for years to come.
